We previously reported that Texas oil heir Bobby Ewing was dead. In fact, he
is alive. We apologize for the error, which was the combination of sloppy
fact-checking and a particularly vivid dream.
In a story about advertising executive of the year Larry Tate, we misidentified Mr. Tate's associate Darrin Stephens as Derwood. The Chronicle regrets the error.
In the Sunday magazine profile of Hank Kingsley, writer Susan Keats misidentified the location of Mr. Kingsley's establishment. The Hey Now Cabaret is not located in Long Island, NY, but Laughlin, NV.
In the Monica Gellar/Chandler Bing wedding announcement run in last Sunday's "I Do" section, the following were misidentified:
* The maid of honor was Rachel Green Gellar, who is the third Mrs. Ross Gellar and not, as reported, the second. The groomsman and brother of the bride, Ross Gellar, would like to emphasize that he married the second Mrs. Gellar, Emily Gellar, because "[Ms. Green Gellar and he] were on a break."
* The bridesmaid was not Ursula Buffay but Phoebe Buffay.
The Chronicle stands by the rest of the story about a close-knit group of friends who intermarry.
