My point from the last thread is that you don't need a man to be happy and I feel totally cheated by the way everyone ended up all paired up with someone. The whole show was about 4 frends and women and now they're all just someone's girlfriend.

That is so typical of you heterosexist jerks. You just assume that lesbianism is something women do for men's amusement, as opposed to contemplating the idea that maybe, women can be sexually attracted to each other BECAUSE MEN DON'T EVEN EXIST IN THEIR WORLD.
So open your mind, narrow breeder.

How did a thread about Sex and the City, which is all about dating, turn into a big declaration of how men don't exist? Is that whole lesbian thing even relevant here? NO! So get off your high horse and talk about the show.

Hello? Where do you think you are? This is Salon, and the lesbian perspective is honored and included here. You can even look at SATC in a lesbian context -- maybe about how lesbians are completely marginalized on that show since it's all about their straight sisters. Sometimes, you can view something by what it's missing.

Oh, whatever. Break down the numbers. One lesbian fling. Umteen boyfriends. Babble about excluding perspectives or whatever -- maybe the whole show is about INCLUDING heterosexual perspectives. Goddess knows this board could use a little more straight power.

It's too bad the show got cancelled before the SF mayor's brave act came up. It would have been great to see an episode where the NY mayor married gay couples. Imagine Carrie's column that week when Stanford got married!

Um, okay, nobody's answered my question or talked about my observation or anything. I'm going to try again. My point from the last thread is that you don't need a man to be happy and I feel totally cheated by the way everyone ended up all paired up with someone. The whole show was about 4 frends and women and now they're all just someone's girlfriend.

We heard you the first time. And you know what? Heterosexuals CHOOSE their oppression at the hands of men, so whenever they lose their identity, it's the price they pay. And if you bought into the idea that these domestic slaves deserve anything else than the complete obliveration of their personhood at the hands of those shaved monkeys they ended up with -- well, that's your own fault.
You should be promoting tolerance for all life choices, no matter how destructive.
