K-Ville

It's New Orleans, post Katrina. The city and its police force are scarred. Crime runs rampant. This looks like a job for a police procedural! Thank goodness there's Martin Boulet (Anthony Anderson), a cop so committed that he flies into a fury when NOLA residents try to sell their homes and move out. His old partner abandoned him during the flooding, but his new partner Cobb (Cole Hauser) might be worse: he's a former soldier who claims to be from Illinois but seems to know a bit too much about the Big Easy. Boulet breaks all the rules to catch the perpetrators of ridiculous crimes. What does it all mean? It means he gets results, you stupid chief. [Full Review]

The Pitch:They're cops! Who fight crime! In New Orleans! Which was hit hard
by a hurricane! You might have read something about that!

Do Not Adjust Your Set:Those are the actual streets of New Orleans in "K-Ville," which is either a noble attempt to help rebuild a city or just slightly ghoulish or a little bit from Column A and a little bit from Column B.
Why It Will Be First To Go:Ripped-from-this-decade's-headlines setting aside, this cop show couldn't be more paint-by-numbers if it came with a waterbrush and an artist's palette.
Why It Won't:Oh, like there's a Fox executive who wants to trigger headlines like "Fox declares New Orleans-based cop show a federal disaster."
Odds of Failure:7-2
