Life is Wild
Dad's a veterinarian (D.W. Moffett) joylessly caring for the pampered pets of New York City. Then he takes a job caring for wild animals in Africa ... and drags his whole family there with him.
| The Pitch: | It's "All Creatures Great and Small" meets "Everwood" with a bouncy South African beat. |
| When It’s On | Sundays at 8 PT/ET, CW |
| When It Starts | Sun 10/7 |
| What It’s Up Against | The Simpsons (Fox), Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC), Viva Laughlin (CBS), Football (NBC) |
| Cliche-o-Meter | Fish out of Water Annoying Narrator Geeks |
| Fandom Factor | Cold |
| Do Not Adjust Your Set: | You wouldn't know from the bland earnestness of this program, but this is apparently a remake of a British series. For what it's worth, the Brit version features two fewer annoying children. |
| Why It Will Be First To Go: | It's never a good sign when, halfway through the pilot, you're rooting for the wounded lioness to take out the mouthier members of the clan. |
| Why It Won't: | Family-friendly teen dramas can run on The CW for years and years before anyone bothers to take notice and atone for their horrible programming decisions. |
| Odds of Failure: | 10-1 |
